Abstract: Knudsen layer is an important feature of microflows, where a set of rarefied effects such as the velocity slip and temperature jump occur. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction of the linearized hyperbolic moment equations (LHME) and apply them to resolve the Knudsen layer in Kramers' problem and temperature jump problem.The formal analytical solutions are obtained and examined both theoretically and numerically, which will help us better understanding the Knudsen layer.
